AlphaPivot is a trading-education project focused on price action, pivot levels, and building a repeatable decision-making process. We break down market concepts into practical steps so learners can study charts with more clarity and less noise.
Our approach is educational: define the setup, know where the idea is invalidated, and plan the risk before considering a trade. We believe patience and consistency matter more than predictions or hype.
A good trading plan cannot control the market. It can help you control your decisions.
THE ALPHAPIVOT PRINCIPLETHE ALPHAPIVOT FRAMEWORK
Use pivot levels as a map—not as automatic buy or sell signals. Wait for price behaviour to confirm whether a level matters.
A level is an area to observe. Confirmation, invalidation, and risk management still matter.
Mark the daily pivot (P), support levels S1–S3, resistance levels R1–R3, and the previous day’s high and low. Note the broader trend and important nearby price zones.
When price is falling into a support or pivot area, look for evidence of rejection, a failed breakdown, or a change in short-term structure. Avoid buying only because price has touched S1, S2, or S3.
Near resistance or the previous day’s high, watch for rejection, a failed breakout, or weakening upward structure. A level alone is not confirmation to sell.
Choose an entry trigger and place the stop where the trade idea is no longer valid—for example, beyond the rejection swing. Account for volatility, spread, and position size.
Consider the next relevant pivot, support/resistance, swing point, or previous-day level as a potential target. Check that the possible reward justifies the risk, then journal the result.
